Heath is a lovely small town in Licking County, about 30 miles east of Columbus. It has a population of around 10,745 people.
Heath is best known for the large earthworks and burial mounds built by the Hopewell Indians. The preserved mounds are the Newark Earthworks (previously called the Moundbuilders State Memorial) on the town’s north side border with Newark, Ohio.
