About Berea, OH

The small city of Berea is in Cuyahoga County in Northeast Ohio. Established in 1836, Berea grew prosperous thanks to sandstone quarrying along the Rocky River, which flows directly through the city. It is also known as the location of Baldwin Wallace University, making Berea a city where daily rhythms largely revolve around the academic calendar.

Berea is generally considered a western suburb of Cleveland, just 16 miles from Downtown. Even so, Berea is its own city with much to offer, independent of its larger neighbor.
