Cahokia Heights is in St. Clair County. In 2021, the merger of the villages of Cahokia and Alorton with the city of Centreville created the new town of Cahokia Heights. Cahokia Heights surrounds the St. Louis Downtown Airport. The city touches the banks of the Mississippi River across from the Missouri side of St. Louis. According to the U.S. 2020 Census, the population numbers were 12,096 for Cahokia Village, 1,566 for Alorton, and 4,232 for Centreville. This totals to 17,894 as the population of the newly formed Cahokia Heights.
