Hope Valley is a village with a population of around 1,870 people, according to the U.S. 2020 Census. It is at Nooseneck Hill Road and Rockville Road, just north of the I-95 Interstate. It is part of the town of Hopkinton, located in Washington County. Its main distinguishing feature is the Locustville Pond, which runs through the area.
Historically, Hezekiah Carpenter arrived in 1770 to settle here. He came from Europe. The first thing he did was build a dam on the Wood River, which he then used to power mills he built.
