Firebrook Community Park: This is a nice park for families, which, on windy days, usually has many kites flying. The kids love the playgrounds, and the adults can be active in community sports or just hang out and enjoy a picnic.

General Burnside Island State Park: There is an 18-hole golf course on General Burnside Island that is easy to play. This area also has the Lake Cumberland Speedway if you like to watch race cars speed around the track. Just hop on Highway 90 going east, and when you get to the interchange with Highway 27, go south for a few miles. The island will be to your right, and the speedway can be seen from the highway on your left. In the state park, there is a campground with over 100 camping sites and all the hookups you need.

Burnside Historic District: Burnside Historic District has four buildings to see, dating from before the Civil War. You will find a nice marina on the lake called Safe Harbor Burnside. Explore more than 100 peaceful coves by boat and visit the Cumberland Falls. There is a nice waterside cafe to get a sandwich, pizza, and have something to drink. Shopping, fine dining, and festivals bring tourists from all over.

Lake Cumberland: Many people who live here consider their boat like a second car. On the lake, you can find dozens of boat ramps to use to get your boat in the water. The fishing is spectacular.
