They will walk you through the lease, rental, or sales process and help you with transitional housing if necessary.

How to Pay Rent for Privatized Housing

Paying rent for privatized military housing is much like renting non-military housing. First, you sign a tenant lease agreement which is usually for a one-year term. Unlike civilian leases, this lease includes an extra military clause. Then, you pay rent monthly by authorizing your basic allowance for housing (BAH) to be paid directly to the Property Manager Any irregular move-in times will be prorated and paid directly to the Property Manager. Living Off-Base

If you prefer to live off base, simply tell the military housing office before making alternate housing arrangements.
