Fort Eisenhower, formally known as Fort Gordon, is a suburb of Augusta, Georgia where there is a U.S. Army base. It was established in 1941 as part of the American effort to fight World War II. It is currently the home of the U. S. Army Signal Corps and the U. S. Army Cyber Corps. On the base, the army operates the Cyber Center of Excellence as part of Homeland Security. Augusta is known for its beautiful golf courses. There are two near Fort Eisenhower where it is fun to play a round of golf.
