The Youngstown Air Reserve Station is on the northeastern side of the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport. This is a beautiful rural area east of Warren, Ohio. It is a perfect place to have a small family farm and raise kids with a relaxed country lifestyle.
It is about 10 miles east of Warren and 11 miles north of Youngstown. For many square miles north of the Youngstown Air Reserve Station, there is verdant farmland.

Youngstown Air Reserve Station History
The Youngstown Air Reserve Station dates to the early 1950s. It was initially opened as the Youngstown Air Force Basse. The base was developed as a way to protect the north central portion of the United States. It was commissioned by the Air Defense Command (ADC). The new $10 million air defense base. When it opened, the 88th Air Base Squadron was established at the base. It flew F-84C Thunderjets and, later, F-102 Delta Dagger.
In 1952, the 26th Fighter Bomber Squadron of the Air Force Reserve was assigned to the base. As time passed, the need for the base as a component of the Air Force was dropping, and in 1959, command of the base was assigned to Continental Air Command, which is known today as the Air Force Reserve Command.
Today, the station is home to numerous buildings, with 59 operational facilities. Most of it is dedicated to aviation maintenance, administrative needs, and training. It does not have lodging facilities on base any longer.
Vienna Center is a neighborhood located in the Youngstown Air Reserve Station area, located in Trumbull County. It's a very small community spanning about four square miles.
